Tadioto

Tadioto started in 2008 as an alternative space for the arts where we held exhibitions, art talks, workshops, and art related events.   We also run an artists’ residency program (in collaboration with DVAN, the Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network)  in Tam Dao, north of Ha Noi.

Our facility in Ha Noi also hosted a bar and a cafe, two galleries and a multi-purpose media room.  We welcome artists, writers,  filmmakers and collaborators to use our space for conferences, exchanges, workshops, and entertainment.  We aim to help artists explore common projects, exchange ideas and resources, and collaborate both with local colleagues and visiting international artists.

We have held many workshops with professionals in the arts, including San Jose Museum Chief Curator JoAnne Northrup, performance artists Kim Ngoc, Nguyen Manh Hung, Tran Luong, Nguyen Minh Phuoc, American writer Wayne Karlin, installation artist Kathy Koller, Italian writers Paolo Giordano & Beppe Severgnini, video artist Sander Leemans, film producer Roger Garcia, and art historian Nora Taylor.  Since our opening at the end of 2008, we have held exhibitions for Nguyen Van Cuong, Thai Bui, Han Nguyen, Do Hoang Tuong, and currently have sculptural works by Nguyen Thuy Hang.

Tadioto is also a venue for music performances,  literary readings, and special events.

    Anh Duc oi -

Sorry I missed you in Hanoi, it was too cold to come out and black lung had set in… I couldn’t wait to reach Danang but even there the cold and rain had followed. I hope you are well in your new home.

    Hi Duc,

I emailed you but wanted to be sure you got this message so I’m posting it on your blog as well. My name is Kara and I’m a friend of Tan Doan’s. I am traveling around South East Asia for the next 3 and a half weeks. We’re going to be in Hanoi Monday, April 28th, the 30th and May 4th. It would be great to meet up with you on any of these days. I would also love to come and see your design shop. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best,
    Kara

Salut Duc… mon ami, ça fait déjà un bout de temps, non? Je serai à San-Francisco cet été et j’aurai voulu t’y rencontrer mais je ne suis pas sur que tu habites encore en Californie. Let me know! Si tu peux, laisse-moi une adresse e-mail à laquelle je peux te joindre plus facilement. Daniel
